There’s something about Leicester, people often aren’t the biggest fans of their home town but we think Leicester is different.
All of the owners of Firebug and lots of the staff came to Leicester to go to University and never left. You’re at University for such a small fraction of the time line of your life but the friends you make are forever, the experiences that you have stay with you forever! You find your PEOPLE and it’s very likely that those people will be in Firebug!

20 years down the line and Firebug hasn’t changed that much but we have made improvements; We are open from midday until 4am, 7 days a week, we continue to adjust our Safer Spaces Policy, we serve food late into the night, we offer even better discounts on food and drink, we have free entry club nights nearly every night until 4am and our offer of live music, comedy and film showings are more diverse than ever before!
Times are harder than ever, food, rent and utilities are the highest cost and whilst the living wage raises, the amount of disposable income people have is shrinking all the time. SO with this in mind we are launching a new food deal starting 23rd September, alongside the 20% off food (30% for affiliated societies) we already offer, we will be offering a meal for just £2 every day, so you can eat all week for just £14!!
