We’re delighted to announce the return of our annual free entry Bank Holiday Sunday all dayer.
Taking place on the 26th August, it features the host of incredible entertainment that you’ve come to expect including bands, acoustic acts, movies and a club night!
Families are welcome until 7pm, with a barbecue food menu (including an array of meat and veggie options) served throughout the day.
We’ll be screening kids movies from midday until 3pm upstairs, with titles to be announced nearer the time.
Bands kick off over two stages – upstairs and downstairs – from 3pm, running well in to the evening. The full line-up is still to come but our co-headliners for 2018 are Leicester legends The Brandy Thieves and The Whiskey Rebellion, both of whom are a force to be reckoned with!
Already renowned as one of the Midland’s best live acts, The Brandy Thieves have quickly built a reputation as a band that blows the roof over every venue they play, a band that’s impossible not to dance to. By combining gypsy rhythms and punk energy, ska grooves and folk storytelling, the band has created a sound that is uniquely their own, a sound that has stolen the hearts of all of whom that have seen them perform.
From the deepest darkest jungles of Leicestershire, comes The Whiskey Rebellion – a band so full of vibrant gypsy-punk energy that there is not a man or woman alive who can keep themselves from dancing like an idiot to their anarchic, upbeat folk rhythms. Feature a blazing line up of banjo, mandolin, violin, accordion, guitar, bass, drums, and two vocalists for the price of one, these hair-brained harlequins produce a sound that creeps up on your eardrums and throttles your unsuspecting brain from the inside out.
Bank Holiday Sunday institution, PLUG Silent Disco runs upstairs from 11pm to 4 am upstairs.
