Venue Description
The ground floor venues main entrance is up 2 steps, but there is step free access around the side. If you need to use the step free entrance, please let us know in advance where possible, and someone can come and open the door for you. This will bring you into the bar area. On this level, you will also find our accessible WC and lowered bar area.
Whilst we do some events on the ground floor, the majority of advertised and ticketed events are in our first floor venue. The music and event venue is located upstairs via 23 steps and has a handrail the length of the stairs. There is no ramp or lift to the first floor venue, customers are welcome to attend events in the space if they can leave safely, in the event of an emergency.

Accessible viewing area
We don’t have a dedicated viewing area, but if you require a seat, we are more than happy to provide one for you. We have a variety of seating available, so please do get in touch for us to assist you. Comedy shows are generally fully seated.
Travel Guide and Arrival Guide
There is accessible parking located on Bowling Green Street 70 meters from Firebug. There is loading to the front and side of the venue.
The venue does not have a car park but parking information can be found here.
Customers are able to be dropped off right outside the venue
Leicester station is located 900 metres away from the venue.
The venue is open Monday to Sunday from 12pm – 4am. The gig room opening times are gig specific, so please check your ticket, or our website for details.
Please be aware that if you require the alternative, step free access to the downstairs venue before 9pm, there will be no one on the door, so please either let us know in advance what time you will arrive, or alternatively, please give us a call on your arrival.
Toilets
On the ground floor, there is an accessible WC located to the right hand side of the bar.
Upstairs there are additional toilets but they are not accessible to all.
Customers with Medical Requirements
Firebug welcomes any customers who may need to bring food, drink, medicine or medical equipment with them to manage a medical condition.
Medical cannabis is legally permitted on the premises for patients to use via their prescribed method, such as vaping or taking oils, whilst we allow vaping indoors we ask that you be mindful of those around you.
Whilst we will never ask you to prove your medical condition or disability, we are required to ask for proof that you have been prescribed an otherwise illegal substance, in line with our licensing restrictions.
To avoid any issues, carry your original container with the pharmacy label, photo ID, and a copy of your prescription or clinic letter to show to our security team and management if asked.
It is illegal to smoke cannabis in any form in the UK, regardless of whether it has been prescribed and therefor anyone smoking cannabis in our garden will be told not to.

Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome in the venue.
Strobe Lighting
We occasionally use strobe lighting at the venue, and will have signage up on the night. If you have any concerns, please contact us to discuss.
